Antalya Airport has completed a large-scale expansion that increases its annual passenger capacity from 35 million to 82 million, making it the second-largest airport in Turkey after Istanbul. The newly built international and domestic terminals were inaugurated on April 12, 2025, in a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, alongside foreign officials, government representatives, and local authorities.

Antalya, one of the world’s leading tourist destinations, has been awarded the prestigious "2025 D-8 Tourism City Award" by the Developing Eight Countries (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation.
