Turkey Tech Visa
Turkey has quickly risen as a promising tech hub, with government support fueling growth in startups, investment, and international business. However, to keep up with the pace, the need for skilled professionals in critical fields like AI, software development, and cybersecurity is rising as well. The Tech Visa program was created to attract foreign experts who can help fill these roles and support the country's tech-driven industries.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must meet these requirements:
- Relevant Expertise: Experience in fields such as software engineering, AI, data science, blockchain, or digital transformation.
- Employment or Business Plan: A job offer from a Turkish tech company or a startup business proposal.
- Skills Proof: Resume, references, or certifications demonstrating relevant experience and expertise.
- Education: A degree in a tech-related field is preferred.
Application Process
- Find Employment or Develop a Business Plan: Secure a job or create a business proposal.
- Document Preparation: Gather passport, employment proof, resume, education certificates, and business plan (if applicable).
- Submit Application: Apply online via the e-Visa system or at a Turkish consulate.
- Approval and Entry: Enter Turkey upon approval.
- Residence Permit: After approval, enter Turkey and apply for a residence permit.

- Education: A university diploma or equivalent.
- Income: Minimum monthly income of $3,000 or $36,000 annually.
- Remote Employment: Must work remotely for a non-Turkish company, with proof of employment.
- Passport: Valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
Countries Eligible For Digital Nomad Visa
Citizens from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, EU countries, Russia, Ukraine, and other European countries may apply for the Digital Nomad Visa.
Application Process
- Apply for a Digital Nomad ID Certificate: Upload the required documents and start the application online through the GoTürkiye Digital Nomad platform.
- Document Submission: Upload necessary documents, including passport, diploma, income statement, and employment contract
- Receive Visa: After approval, take the certificate to a Turkish consulate or visa center for the actual visa.

Central to this vision is Terminal İstanbul, the world’s largest technopark at İstanbul Airport, designed to foster a collaborative ecosystem for international and local tech talent.
The government is investing in this vision by offering tax incentives, and grants, and promoting technology-focused education. Both the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security highlight the mutual benefits of the Tech Visa: attracting high-level expertise while also empowering Turkey’s workforce through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
